Designing for Culture and Spirituality in Health

Faith institutions are an important source of social support and community care, and Black churches have served as a site for social change and care provision. But since the pandemic, it has become clear that limiting care to physical spaces can hamper access to said care. While technology offers opportunities for expanding access to care distributed in churches, technology remains a challenge for many churches. In this project, I explore how culture and spirituality may be embedded in technology to social support and care provision within churches.
